  • Minimum education eligibility criteria for admission to GNM :

    a. 10+2 with English and must have obtained a minimum of 40% at the qualifying examination from any recognised board. Candidates are also eligible from State Open School recognised by State Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognised by Central Government. Three (core elective) subject marks may be taken for calculating the percentage of marks excluding the marks in English. Also, it has to be ensured that the candidate has pass marks in English.
    b. 10+2 with English having 40% of marks in vocational ANM course from the school recognised by Indian Nursing Council.
    c. 10+2 with English having 40% of marks in vocational stream- healthcare science from a recognised CBSE board/State/Centre.
    d. Registered ANM with passing marks.

  • Note : 5% of total marks are relaxed for SC/ST Candidates.

    2. Student should be medically fit. (For disabled candidates with a disability of loco-motor to the tune of 40% to 50% of the lower extremity and other eligibility criteria with regard to qualification will be same as prescribed for their category candidates.).

How to Apply

  • Step 1 : Registration – Visit the official website, click the UPGET 2026 link, and register using your basic details (Name, DOB, Email, and Mobile) to receive a Unique Registration ID and password.

  • Step 2 : Initial Login – Log in with your new credentials and immediately change the default password to proceed with the application.

  • Step 3 : Personal Information – Click "Fill Form" to review and complete your personal profile, much of which is auto-filled from registration.

  • Step 4 : Address Details – Provide your residential and correspondence address, including state, district, and pin code.

  • Step 5 : Qualifications & Preferences – Enter your 10th and 12th marks and select three preferred test center cities.

  • Step 6 : Document Uploads – Upload a live photo (captured via webcam/mobile), a passport-size photo with your name and date, your signature in black ink, and the scanned verification sheet.

  • Step 7 : Form Preview – Review all entered information carefully and check the declaration box before moving to payment.

  • Step 8 : Fee Submission – Pay the mandatory entrance fee (₹3,000 for UR/OBC or ₹2,000 for SC/ST/PwD) online via Debit/Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.

  • Step 9 : Final Submission – Ensure you see the "successfully submitted" message on your screen and receive the confirmation email.

  • Step 10 : Print Application – Download and print the final submitted application form for your records.  

Selection Process

  • Entrance Examination
    • The first step is appearing for the offline entrance test on 16th June 2026You must answer 100 multiple-choice questions in English and Hindi on an OMR sheet.
  • Result Declaration
    • After the exam, the University will announce the results on their official websiteYour score in the entrance test will be used to determine your rank.
  • Merit List Preparation
    • The University will then prepare a combined merit list and a category-wise merit list based on the marks obtainedIf two candidates get the same marks, specific tie-breaking rules (like higher Science marks or older age) will be applied.
  • Counselling Process
    • Once the merit list is out, you must participate in the online counsellingDuring this stage, you will select your preferred nursing colleges based on your rank.
  • College Allotment
    • The University will strictly allot seats in Government and Private GNM colleges based on your UPGET-2026 merit rank and the choices you made during counselling.
  • Fee Submission & Admission
    • After a seat is allotted to you, you must deposit the prescribed fee by the specified dateIf you fail to pay on time, you will lose your claim to the seat.
  • Joining the Course
    • The final step is to physically join the allotted college and start your course within the time period mentioned by the University.
