How to Apply

  1. Visit Official Website : Go to the official Staff Selection Commission website: https://ssc.gov.in.
  2. Registration (OTR) : If you are a new user, click on "Register Now" to create a new OTR profile using your email, phone number, and ID details. If already registered on the new site, log in directly.
  3. Find Application Form : Log in and navigate to the "Apply" section. Select "Combined Hindi Translators Examination, 2026".
  4. Fill Application Details : Fill in your personal, educational, and communication details.
  5. Upload Documents : Upload a recently taken, live photo (or scanned image per specifications) and a scanned signature.
  6. Fee Payment : Pay the application fee of ₹100 through online methods (BHIM UPI, Net Banking, Credit/Debit cards).
    • Note : Female candidates, SC/ST, PwD, and Ex-Servicemen are exempt from the fee.
  7. Submit and Print : Submit the application and download the filled application form for future reference.

Selection Process

  • Paper I (Computer Based Examination) : 200 objective questions covering General Hindi (100 marks) and General English (100 marks).
  • Negative Marking: 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
  • Paper II (Descriptive Paper) : Only candidates passing Paper I qualify for this, which consists of translation and essay writing to test language proficiency, totaling 200 marks.
  • Document Verification & Merit List : Final selection is based on combined marks from Paper I and Paper II, followed by document verification
