How to Apply

  • Online Registration : Visit the official NIMI registration portal (nimionlineadmission.in) and create a user ID using your email and mobile number.
  • Profile Completion : Fill in your personal details, including your full name, date of birth, and permanent address as per your Aadhaar card.
  • Academic & Technical Qualifications : Enter your academic scores (10th/12th) and technical details (ITI/Diploma/Degree) and select your relevant CITS trade.
  • Document Upload : Upload scanned copies of your photograph, signature, and essential certificates (Community, PH, and Qualification certificates).
  • Selection of Exam Centers : Choose four preferred examination centers in order of priority from the list of available AICET centers across India.
  • Fee Payment : Pay the entrance examination fee (₹500 for General/OBC; ₹300 for SC/ST/PH/EWS/Women) via the online payment gateway.
  • Final Submission : Review all entered information for accuracy and submit the application to generate your registration number and acknowledgment slip.

Selection Process

  • Entrance Examination (AICET) : Candidates must appear for the All India Common Entrance Test, which is a Computer Based Test (CBT) assessing technical knowledge and general aptitude.
  • Merit List Generation : A merit list is prepared based on the marks obtained in the AICET, following the minimum qualifying cut-offs (33 for General, 29 for OBC/EWS, and 20 for SC/ST/PH).
  • Online Counseling (Choice Filling) : Qualified candidates log in to the portal to select their preferred National Skill Training Institutes (NSTIs) or Institute of Training of Trainers (IToTs) based on available seat matrix.
  • Seat Allotment : Seats are automatically allotted in multiple rounds (Round 1, Round 2, and Mop-up) based on the candidate's merit rank, category reservation, and choice of institute.
  • Provisional Admission : Allotted candidates must visit the nearest NSTI for physical document verification to secure a provisional admission letter.
  • Final Physical Reporting : Candidates report to their final allotted institute on the scheduled date to complete the remaining admission formalities and commence the training session.
