How to Apply

• Step 1 : Sign Up

  • The candidate must first register on the HPRCA portal by clicking the “Sign Up” option to create a username and password.

• Step 2 : One-Time Registration (OTR)

  • After a successful sign-up, the candidate must complete the One-Time Registration by providing the following details:

    • Personal Information.

    • Educational qualifications.

    • Work experience (if any).

    • Uploading a recent photograph and signature (JPG/JPEG/PNG format, max 1 Mb each).

    • Uploading relevant supporting documents.

  • Note : This information is stored in the user’s profile and can be utilized for future applications.

• Step 3 : Complete/Update Profile

  • Only users who have completed their profile can apply for posts. If any updates are required (e.g., change in qualification or contact details), the candidate can edit their profile at this stage.

• Step 4 : Apply for a Post

  • Once the profile is complete, candidates can view the list of available posts under different categories on the portal (https://hprca.hp.gov.in).

  • Click on the “Apply” button corresponding to the desired post.

• Step 5 : Preferred Exam District

  • Select your preferred district(s) for the examination from the provided dropdown menu.

• Step 6 : Confirm Application Details

  • The system will automatically fill your application form using information from your profile. Review these details carefully before proceeding.

• Step 7 : Pay Application Fee

  • Proceed to make the application fee payment of ₹800.00 (includes ₹100 examination fee and ₹700 processing fee) through the available "Online Payment Gateway" using Credit Card, Debit Card, or Net Banking.

• Step 8 : Application Submission Confirmation

  • After successful payment, the application will be considered complete.

Selection Process

• Online Application and Registration
  • One-Time Registration (OTR) : Candidates must first register on the HPRCA's OTR portal to create a profile.
  • Submission of ORA : Eligible female candidates must submit an Online Recruitment Application (ORA) through the official HPRCA website.
  • Application Fee : Candidates are required to pay a total of ₹800, which includes a ₹100 examination fee and a ₹700 processing fee.
• Screening/Written Test
  • Mode of Examination : The Aayog will conduct either a Computer-Based Test (CBT) or an OMR-based written screening test.
  • Format and Duration : The test is 1.5 hours long and consists of 120 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), with each question worth 1 mark.
  • Qualifying Marks : The minimum qualifying score is 45% for general category candidates and 40% for reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/WFF).
  • Normalization : If the CBT is held in multiple shifts, scores will be normalized using the Z-Score Method to ensure fairness.
• Document Verification (Documentation)
  • Shortlisting : Based on the results of the screening test, the Aayog will shortlist candidates for document verification.
  • Original Certificates : Shortlisted candidates must produce original documents and self-attested photocopies, including matriculation for age proof, B.Sc. Nursing/GNM diplomas, and valid category certificates (OBC/EWS/BPL).
  • Eligibility Check : Admission to the screening test is provisional; final eligibility is determined during this documentation stage.
• Final Selection and Recommendations
  • Merit List: A final merit list is prepared based on the performance in the written screening test and the verification of eligibility.
  • Allocation: For posts across different departments, allocation is made using a "Merit-Cum-Option-Cum-Availability of Post" formula.
  • Waiting Panel : A category-wise waiting list (panel) is also maintained, which remains valid for one year from the date recommendations are sent to the appointing authority.
