Educational Qualification

• Candidates must have a B.E. or B.Tech degree in Civil Engineering (regular mode only).

• No ATKT (backlogs) should be pending in the final year or last two semesters.

• At least 55% marks are required (average of final year or last two semesters).

• If holding an equivalent degree, candidates must submit an equivalence certificate from the university.

MGVCL Vidyut Sahayak Selection Process 2025

The recruitment process will take place in two stages:

1. First Tier Examination (Computer-Based Test)

• An objective test of 100 marks

• Subjects: Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English, Gujarati Language, General Knowledge, and Computer Knowledge

• Minimum Qualifying Marks:

  • 50 marks for General candidates

  • 45 marks for Reserved, EWS, and PwD candidates

• Qualified candidates will be shortlisted for the second tier

2. Second Tier Examination (Computer-Based Test)

• Also of 100 marks

• Entirely based on Civil Engineering subjects

• Final selection will be based only on the marks scored in this tier

• 5% extra marks (based on scored marks) will be added for widowed female candidates

Note:

• Both exams will have negative marking (0.25  mark will be deducted for each wrong answer)

• Marks will be normalized if exams are held in multiple shifts

• The final merit list will be prepared as per marks, company preference, and reservation rules

• Shortlisted candidates will undergo document verification and a medical test
